Application

API CJ-4 is the API category for high-speed four-stroke diesel engines designed to meet 2010 on-highway emission standards. ACEA E9 is the European category for heavy-duty diesel engines. The API SN rating also covers petrol engines. Use where the vehicle handbook specifies API CJ-4 / ACEA E9 at SAE 5W-40.
